Welikanda is one of the village in east Sri Lanka located closer to Batticalowa town. The poor village was suffering
heavily before its liberated from Tamil Terrorism by Sri Lankan Government forces. Helabima Organization started to build
an emergency ward for the Welikanda Hospital on 18th Februaty 2008.
